Dorothea Mackellar Memorial Statue & Poets Precinct
The bronze statue memorialises poet Dorothea Mackellar — known for “My Country” — paying tribute to her connection with the Gunnedah area.
The surrounding “Poets Precinct” includes a walk (the “Maas Walk”) dotted with plaques of her poems in native bush settings, and — nearby — the Mackellar Centre featuring a watercolour collection inspired by her work.
